A convenient, quantitative method for measuring low concentrations of albumin, creatinine and albumin/creatininie ratio in urine.

This test is intended for use in screening and monitoring microalbuminuria. Testing for microalbuminuria (low concentrations of albumin) is recommended for patients with diabetes due to their increased risk of kidney damage or diabetic neuropathy. Microalbuminuria is the earliest stages of this and catching early might delay or halt the need for further action.
