T-Safe CU 380A (Capped) IUD 

This model is a restructured version of the previously available but now discontinued "Gyne-T".

The traditional T-shaped IUD is the most widely utilised IUD-design globally, even endorsed by the WHO. Its appeal lies in its secure placement in the uterus, the lowest Pearl Index, and a minimal expulsion rate.

• Bioactive component: Copper wire of highest purity (99.99%) on the stem
• Material of the carrier: Polythylene mixed with barium sulfate for visibility to x-ray

Recommended application:

• Hormone-free contraception for uni- and multiparous women
• Before inserting the IUD, you need to preload it by bending the horizontal arms into the tube. For easy loading, a loading capsule is enclosed.
• Uterine sound length: 6-9 cm

Unique features:

• The T-Safe CU 380A has a copper surface of 380 mm² and guarantees safe contraception up to 10 years. (Recommendation of the WHO)
• The horizontal arms completely embed the copper sleeves. This results in an extremely smooth and plane surface as well as in a small diameter of the tube (4.5 mm).
• Small dimension of the loaded IUD with easy insertion
• Longer insertion tube than the T-Safe CU380A QL - suitable for insertion after abortion
