Therapeutic indications:
Midazolam is a short-acting sleep-inducing drug that is indicated:

In adults
• Conscious sedation before and during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures with or without local anaesthesia.
• Anaesthesia
• Premedication before induction of anaesthesia.
• Induction of anaesthesia.
• As an induction agent or as a sedative component in combined anaesthesia.
• Sedation in intensive care units

In children
• Conscious sedation before and during diagnostic or therapeutic procedures with or without local anaesthesia.
• Anaesthesia
• Premedication before induction of anaesthesia.
• Sedation in intensive care units

Features

Nature and contents of container:
• 50ml clear type 1 glass vial containing 50ml of sterile midazolam (as the hydrochloride) solution for injection 1mg or 2mg/1ml, with halobutyl rubber stopper and aluminium crimp seal.

Special precautions for storage:
• Do not store above 25°C.
• Keep the container in the outer carton in order to protect from light
