Cutimed Alginate is a calcium sodium alginate dressing made out of natural seaweed. The alginate component of this dressing allows it to absorb up to 20 times its own weight in exudate.

Features

• Exchange of calcium ions in the dressing with sodium ions in the exudate transforms the alginate into a moist gel
• Provides a moist environment to help with wound healing
• Calcium ions have haemostatic properties when in contact with exudate
• Reduces the risk of maceration
• Excellent wet integrit
