Aquacel AG+ Extra Dressing Combines the gelling properties of Hydrofiber technology with the antimicrobial properties of silver.

Aquacel AG+ Extra is a special wound dressing that uses Hydrofiber® Technology and ionic silver. which helps treat infected wounds or wounds at risk of infections, such as MRSA.

 

Exudate Level: Moderate to heavily exuding wounds

 

Days of Wear: Maximum of 7 days (14 days for partial thickness burns) or when clinically indicated

 

Indications: Leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, fungating lesions, post-surgical wounds, abrasions, lacerations and partial thickness burns

 

Contraindications: Should not be used on individuals who are sensitive to or who have had an allergic reaction to silver or sodium carboxymethylcellulose

  • Contains ionic silver to kill a wide spectrum of pathogens which can cause infection
  • Absorbs and retains high levels of exudate
  • Cohesive gel allows easy and atraumatic removal
  • Soft and conformable, it reduces dead space where bacteria may reside
  • Reduces maceration by locking exudate in the fibres away from the skin
