What is Shingrix?:
 
Shingrix is a vaccine that helps to protect adults against shingles (herpes zoster) and post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN), the long-lasting nerve pain that follows shingles.
 
What is it used for?:
 
Shingrix is given to:
• adults 50 years and above
• adults 18 years and above who are at increased risk of shingles. Shingrix cannot be used to prevent chickenpox (varicella).
