Have you considered the dangers of Surgical Smoke plume? Surgical smoke is an unwanted part of every electrosurgical and laser procedure.

The lingering odour is not only unpleasant but repeated exposure presents a potential danger to both staff and patients. When performing minor skin surgery (removal of warts, skin tags, spider veins and other “lumps and bumps”), a surgical smoke plume is generated at the skin. No matter how efficient the ventilation system is in the treatment room, all medical staff present are at risk from any airborne viruses that may be released into the atmosphere as a result of this treatment. Hepatitis and HIV/AIDS are a particular concern as the patient may not even be aware they are carrying these viruses.

Chemicals such as benzene, formaldehyde, acrolein, CO and hydrogen cyanide have been found in the plume generated by tissue ablation. It is also known to contain carcinogens, mutagens, irritants, fine dusts, bio-aerosols, viruses, cancer cells, blood fragments, bacteria spores, polyaromatic hydrocarbons and various toxic gases. Various Blood-Borne Pathogens such as HPV (Human Papilloma Virus), Hepatitis B and HIV have also been discovered in the plumes generated by these procedures.

Comes complete with machine, main filter, pack of nozzles (25 in a pack), spare tubing, footswitch , mobile stand and boom arm.
