Solution for infusion, clear and colourless solution, free from visible particles – each ml contains 9 mg sodium chloride.

Therapeutic Indications

Sodium Chloride 0.9% w/v Intravenous Infusion BP is indicated for:

• Treatment of isotonic extracellular dehydration
• Treatment of sodium depletion
• Restoration and maintenance of sodium and chloride levels
• Vehicle or diluent for the preparation and administration of compatible intravenous medicines
• Immediate replenishment of intravascular volume when clinically required

Nature and Contents of Container

• Presented in a Viaflo infusion bag manufactured from polyolefin/polyamide co-extruded plastic
• Each bag is enclosed in a protective overpouch to maintain product integrity
• Sterile, non-pyrogenic solution for intravenous administration

Special Precautions for Storage

• 500 mL and 1000 mL bags: No special storage conditions required
• Store in the original packaging until use
