What is Menquafi used for?
MenQuadfi is designed to help protect individuals aged 12 months and older against IMD caused by serogroups A, C, W and Y. It is the only MenACWY conjugate vaccine in Europe available in a fully liquid formulation.9,10 This can potentially save time and reduce reconstitution errors.
MenQuadfi uses a tetanus toxoid carrier protein, which is able to impact the T-cell dependent immune system.
In clinical trials, the safety of MenQuadfi was shown to be similar to comparator vaccines.
A MenACWY certificate will be provided on ordering MenQuadfi.
Neisseria meningitidis bacteria (also called meningococci) can be passed from person to person and can cause serious and sometimes life-threatening infections, such as:
• Meningitis – an inflammation of the tissues that surround the brain and spinal cord;
• Septicemia – an infection of the blood
