The Vitalograph COPD-6 is designed for rapid screening of at-risk groups to assess whether full spirometry is appropriate. Vitalograph COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) screener provides classification of COPD, the stage of the disease and information on the degree of the obstruction clearly and simply.
The Vitalograph copd-6 measures FEV1 and FEV6 and gives the FEV1% of predicted and accurately identifies those at risk of COPD at the pre-symptomatic stage to allow early medical intervention and facilitate better clinical outcomes. It can also screen out those who's FEV1 is normal, who therefore do not have COPD,without the risk of false negatives. Diagnostic spirometry resources can be focused on those most likely to be diagnosed with COPD.
