£100,000 DONATED BY WILLIAMS MEDICAL TO CERVICAL CANCER CHARITY

One of the largest medical suppliers to UK primary care has raised vital funds for Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.

The generous donation from Williams Medical allows Jo’s to support anyone who is affected by cervical cancer or cell changes through their support services.

Williams Medical supplies the single-use speculums which are used for cervical screening (smear tests). With each speculum sold an amount is donated to Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust – with the donation total now accumulating to over £100,000.

The funds directly support the charity’s services including the Helpline, the online Forum, an Ask the Expert service, and a range of in-person and online events. These services are to support anyone who has any question, concern or needs support with cervical cancer, cervical screening and cell changes, or HPV.

The ongoing partnership will continue to help provide trustworthy support to everyone that needs Jo’s, and campaign for the best in cervical cancer prevention, diagnosis and care. It will also help the charity reach its vision of a day where cervical cancer is a thing of the past.

Samantha Dixon, Chief Executive at Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust, said: “This financial support from Williams Medical will enable us to make sure there is guidance and support for women and other people with a cervix, at a time in their lives where they might be feeling anxious, scared or confused.
