We appreciate the inconvenience that software incompatibility can cause. Due to Microsoft ending support for Windows XP in April many practices will be upgrading to Windows 7.

We are contacting you to help ensure that you do not experience any surprises and unexpected downtime with your Welch Allyn CardioPerfect™ software, should you be upgrading to Windows 7 soon.

The latest version of CardioPerfect™ workstation is fully compatible with Windows 7 and 8, and for a limited time you can upgrade for just set price - regardless of how many modules you have installed!


Why do I need an upgrade?

Many GP practices will soon be forced to upgrade to Windows 7 as Microsoft end support for Windows XP.
If your version of Welch Allyn CardioPerfect™ software is 1.6.4 or 1.6.5 then you do not need to take any action.
If your version is 1.6.3 or older then we recommend an upgrade to ensure CardioPerfect is works correctly with Windows 7.

The upgrade CD comes complete with step by step instructions and on-hand support should it be needed. Please note that your local IT support may also be required and a backup of your existing database will be required prior to upgrading to prevent data loss.

If you are not upgrading to Windows 7 until later in the year you can still purchase a CD of the latest CardioPerfect™ software at the offer price and keep it until it is needed.

How to upgrade

1. Firstly, check which operating system you are moving to. Windows 7 or 8?

2. Check the version of CardioPerfect™ Workstation you are using.
This is shown as you open the software, or can be found by clicking ‘Help’ and then ’Information’ on the menu of CardioPerfect™. If your version is 1.6.3 or older then you will require an upgrade for it to be compatible with Windows 7.

3. Select Correct Update Package SW-UPD-1, SW-UPD-2, SW-UPD-3, SW-UPD-4 or contact us with the details.


• SW-UPD-4 -Update to latest CardioPerfect Workstation version for systems currently running on version number: 1.6.4
• SW-UPD-3 -Update to latest CardioPerfect Workstation version for systems currently running on version numbers: 1.6.0 to 1.6.3
• SW-UPD-2 - Update to latest CardioPerfect Workstation version for systems currently running on any 1.4 or 1.5 version
• SW-UPD-1 -Update to latest CardioPerfect Workstation version for systems purchased or last updated in 2002 or later.
