Nexplanon is a long acting progestogen only hormonal contraceptive, effective for up to 3 years.
In clinical trials Nexplanon has demonstrated bioequivalence to the currently available subdermal contraceptive implant Implanon which is over 99% effective. Each Nexplanon rod contains 68mg of etonogesterol and comes pre-loaded in an innovative disposable applicator, designed to be operated with one hand and facilitate insertion just below the skin.
Nexplanon is now currently available at WMS and is the same list price as Implanon.
